Every year, over 35,000 children are tested for Tuberculosis in Hawaii and each one receives a report in the mail with a built-in postcard to schedule follow up visits if needed. The software DOH used to print and send these letters was obsolete and they could no longer edit the reports to accept new information or change paper sizes. CCI provided an overhaul of the legacy application, allowing it to be controlled through a Web Browser and the reports to be edited with any HTML editing software the DOH preferred. As a result of this project, children across the State continue to receive their test results and are able to schedule any needed follow up using the incorporated tear-away postcard.
